BlackCAT: A Triumph x Fasthouse Collaboration
Client: Triumph North America & Fasthouse
Directed By: Aran Eversman, Darryn Durham
The call came down from Triumph America to build a project bike last spring. One thing was for sure, it needed to go fast. And sure, a candy-apple red Bonneville T120 cafe racer would’ve looked bitchin’ on the Fasthouse floor, but one look around this place tells a different story.
60 years ago, our forefathers were blazing across the desert wide open, peering through open- faced helmets and bloodshot eyes as their teeth rattled loose from those old iron sleds. Their Triumphs were an amalgamation of original craftsmanship, field repairs and on-hand improvisations.
When it came time to encapsulate this heritage in a modern build, Fasthouse tapped our resident hellraiser Darryn Durham for the job. The bike we secured was a Tiger 800: A formidable adventure bike with (admittedly) Dad jean overtones, this go-anywhere ADV was a blank canvas for a Fasthouse-style overhaul.
